Paul returned to Clacton Town in February 2007 from Wivenhoe Town - the club Paul joined upon leaving Clacton in the Summer of 2005. Apart from this spell at Wivenhoe where he was the leading scorer during his two seasons there and both Manager and Supporters Player of the Year for 2005/06, Paul had been at Clacton since the late 1990's and played his 450th game for the club in the 2009/10 season. In pre-season of 2009/10, Paul was awarded a Testimonial match against Ipswich Town Reserves and a crowd of 742 saw the Suffolk side run out 7-2 winners.

Paul finsihed the season and his Clacton career as he started it back in 1998/99 with promotion from the Eastern Counties League First Division and by winning the First Division Knockout Cup.
