REPORT TAKEN FROM THE TEAM BURY WEBSITE.
Mon 21st Nov - Team Bury 2 - FC Clacton 3. Lge Cup Rd.2

Team Bury were knocked out of their second cup competition in three days following a 3-2 defeat to Premier Division FC Clacton on Monday night at Ram Meadow. The game began in a very open manner with some slick passing moves being put together by both sides. A couple of half chances were created with either side going close to taking the lead. FC Clactons impressive Coyle ran through the home sides midfield to open the scoring and put the visitors in the lead. The response from Team Bury was excellent as they themselves pushed FC Clacton back with the impressive Bailey dictating the tempo of the play. A ball into the Clacton penalty area was half cleared only to find Curry on hand to smash home an equaliser through a crowd of players. With the youngsters going into the break now full of confidence, they took the game to the visitors once again during the second half. With Bailey and Curry dictating their forward play, Hitter, Clark, Young and Davies were all able to able to attack the visitors back line forcing a series of corners and dangrous balls into the box. Another loose ball in the box following a corner from the right was headed down by Hitter, this time Clark made himself space to finish clinically. The home sides lead was short lived as FC Clacton attacked immediately from the restart in play. A throw-in was not defended properly and the lack of concentration was punished with Clacton drawing level. The visitors now took control of the match and won the tie with a brilliant solo run from the ever dangerous Coyle, who finished with his second goal of the evening to settle the tie. A much improved performance from the home side was not good enough on the night to beat the individual class found in the premier division's side.
