FC Clacton U9's vs Brightlingsea Regents

Sunday 23rd October 2011 - 10.30am

The Mighty FC Clacton U9's Strike A Decisive Win and Remain UNBEATEN!!

Hot off the heels of our last match away, and the monumental effort we put in, we were raring to play our next fixture, and this week saw Brightlingsea Regents visit the Bowl.  On a nice bright and clear morning, we warmed and then lined up for the kickoff!

Off the whistle blew, and we quickly took possession of the ball from Brightlingsea, with both Harrison Lewis and Mitchell Kill pressing into the box, and Mitchell taking a shot but denied by the keeper, only for the ball to deflect and land at the feet of Harrison Lewis, who quite magnificently chipped the ball over the defender and keepers head to plant the ball into the net!!!!  That put us 1-0 up after 17 seconds - well done Harrison!!!

Just 60 seconds later, Jake clears from deep in our half to land the ball at Reuben Cowlers feet for a one on one with the keeper.  He strikes from a closing angle, and just passes the post - nearly pushing the score up again.  We push deep into the Brightlingsea half again, with a great pass from Leon Dutton in midfield, finding Reuben who does a neat 1-2 with Harrison and fires the ball into the box with a cracking cross, Ryan Csaforda has a shot but is denied, and after a lot of confusion and an attempt by the captain to finish it, it goes wide.  We really are pressurising the opposition now.  7 and a half minutes in, our Keeper Harrison Walsham delivers a great kick out, which Reuben collects and fires at goal, narrowly missing.

At 12 mins, Ryan takes a throw in and fires the ball down the line a fanstic distance to Mitchell Kill, but is dispossed by Brightlingsea, but a bad pass finds Ryan once again who supplies a brilliant ball over the heads of the defenders directly to Reuben who cooly takes aim and buries the ball into the net - putting us ahead at 2-0!

At 15 minutes Reuben once again gets the ball and makes a run on goal, quickly pursued by three Brightlingsea defenders, but even so, he manages to get a cross into the box, which is collected by a defender who mis-clears the ball into his own net - this puts us at 3-0.

Only 30 seconds later, and from the restart, Mitchell wins the ball from the centre spot, passing the ball neatly to Harrison Lewis, who under pressure from two defenders manages a great cross in, landing with Leon Dutton, who pulls the trigger and pushes the ball over the keepers head to make it 4-0!

At 18 minutes, we win a corner, and Reuben takes a short one, passing to Harrison Lewis, who squeezes a cross into the box and finds Reubens head, landing the ball at Mitchell Kill's feet, who neatly tucks it into the top of the net for a 5-0 lead and the whistle goes shortly after for HT!

Off we went into the second half, and after a period of each keeper firing balls at each other, then at 28 minutes in, Jake Mayes makes a blistering run down the right wing, passing three defenders and crossing the ball into the box, where Ryan Csaforda collects and hits the post - rebounds out and Reuben is finally denied.  Very close again and pilling on the pressure!

This pays off, and at 32 minutes from a battle in midfield, Mitchell Kill lobs the ball into the Brightlingsea half for Ryan Csaforda to cooly collect and finish off with elegance and ease to put us 6-0 ahead!  Well done Ryan!!

And only 2 minutes later, Harrison Walsham provides a clinical and sharp kick out, aided by a neat little flick from one our number, to arrive at our captain, who cleanly chips the ball past the keeper to make it 7-0!!

We cruise for the remainder of our match, never letting Brightlingsea near our goal, either by great defending or by the safe hands of our keeper.  The final whistle blows!

Thanks for Brightlingsea Regents for travelling to our home ground and for being a great team to play against.

Thanks to all the lads on the team - a seriously superb display of football - well done.

Go Seasiders - UNBEATEN again!!!!
