FC Clacton travelled to Lawford with ten men and started brightly, dominating possession throughout the first period. 

With Man of the Match Luis Johnson, James O'Brien, Kieron Parkes and Kurtis FirkIns comfortably intercepting and winning balls centrally before feeding the pacy attack, it was only a matter of time until a goal was scored.  This happened on six minutes from a well-placed pass through to Jack Hudson who calmly slotted the ball home.

Just four minutes later, a superb free-kick by Joel Cholmondeley found Firkins who fired the ball infor 2-0 to FCC. 

Our third came on fiftenn minutes when Firkins used his strength to out-muscle his couterpart before playing Jonathan Harvey in to drill the ball into the roof of the net.
 
However, a rare attack saw Lawford win a corner and was tapped in on seventeen minutes.  This spurred Lawford on and four minutes later from a cleared corner, they produced a fantastic long-range shot which left George Baker no chance between the posts. 

FC Clacton rallied together earning themselves a free-kick just outside the defensive box.  Baker kicked the ball high and long into the oppositions half where Hudson, alert to the bounce, latched onto the ball and drove forward to make it 4-2. 

Hudson went on to score his hat-trick just before half-time.  A free-kick from Cholmondeley found Hudson who touched the ball past his marker then using his pace, he left the defence standing and the keeper stranded.
 
Lawford capitalised on an error from the restart which led to their third goal direct from a corner.  FCC caught napping were soon awake and displayed determined defending from then on. 

Zak Page and Nick Moore linked up well on the left with counter attacking moves only to be thwarted by the Lawford defence.  Finally in the 63rd minute with defender Johnson down injured in the box, Lawford scored their 4th before the final whistle went.
