Ray 'Razor' Turner was announced as the new Manager of FC Clacton on Wednesday 18 September 2012 following the departure of Andy Taylor who stepped down from the post on the same day.

Razor had been with the club twice as a player when in 2004/05 he played for the then Clacton Town club before returning in 2010.  He became assistant to Manager Steve Pitt in readiness for the start of the 2011/12 season before both left for Stanway Rovers.

Razor then found his way back to The Bowl for a new challenge including helping the first-team to search for their first win of the 2012/13 season.
